The name Indigenous Salon stands on four pillars. Conscious. Native. Insightful. Creative. These four pillars are what we have built our brand upon, and what has motivated and inspired us in our business. Indigenous is defined as ‘originating or occurring naturally in a particular place; native.‘ Our love and passion for the Indigenous Communities is what made us realize that the Indigenous People exemplify all four of our pillars. To be conscious is to care for your land and community. To be native is to respect and preserve the land on which we stand. To be insightful is to deeply understand that those that came before us, shape us. To be creative is to showcase these original ideas and cultures. As we hold these pillars close, we cannot help but realize how the Indigenous tribes are what we strive to exemplify every day in our work. Because of this, our mission is to support our local and native Indigenous communities. We strive to support local community groups as well as foundations such as the BOA Foundation to raise awareness for the Indigenous people and provide support in preservation of their sacred land.
